WEBELOS PARENTS: A WEBELOS only GEOLOGY FIELD TRIP is scheduled for THU, OCT 15, at 3:30pm here in CROTON. I have arranged for an earth science teacher from CHHS to lead a lesson on geology here in town. We will work on a few requirements for the GEOLOGIST WEBELOS ACTIVITY BADGE. See attached. Other GEOLOGIST requirements to be completed at den meetings and at home. Requirements are attached. I would like to limit this to a reasonably sized group of attentive and well-behaved Scouts, so please let me know if you are interested. I'll add you to the list.

I have received some e-mails from parents asking me when their checks will be deposited for dues and T Bird payments. Please rest assured that this will be done by the end of 2009.

To those who have NOT: please submit as soon as possible. See below for details. The pack leadership is required to submit all paperwork and registration fees to BSA council very soon.

A reminder of our PACK HIKE at the Croton Dam (Croton Gorge Park). The hike starts at 9am and will end at 10:30am. We will assemble at the base of the dam. Look for the flag and table. This is a second chance recruiting event as well. If not submitted yet, please bring application and payment (for annual dues and/or Thunderbird Games). We will talk a little about the history of the dam, hiking skills and techniques, a little tree identification, and the Scout "Leave no Trace" guidelines.
